  WHAT HAPPENED?

  Varga reposted the image and message that his wife, Laura Skraptis, shared on her Instagram story. The picture showed the couple holding hands, with the player clearly in a hospital bed.

  Following the collision against Scotland and an initial statement from the Hungarian football federation, Varga's father had also made public comment, stating that the family felt calmer after surgery and were just awaiting further updates from Laura.
